Was this a fallout of Global Warming? Or the sadistic handiwork of Dr. Savio?
Whatever it was, the people of Clayville were spooked.

Lights, Camera, Backround
A friend of mine advised me to put my clay models into a context.
He felt that it would give them more life and dimension.
Good advice.

The small picture
Most often, but unbeknowst to us, beauty is staring us in the face.
The overhead light fixture. Patterns on a leaf. Paan stains on an old wall. The graphic patterns formed by cracks on a sidewalk. Droplets on a window pane. But we hardly notice these things.
That's probably because we're conditioned to see beauty through convention - The snow capped mountain range, the shiny red sports car, palm trees ... the tropical beach.
But if we refocus a bit, we'll soon notice that everyday, ordinary things can in fact become very interesting. And very beautiful.

Clay
Recently, I've started messing around with clay. (Pun unintended)
Apart from allowing you to create any colour imaginable
its also a super sensory experience. Moulding, twisting, stretching, pulling it this way and that, to create any shape and character you can think of.
What I love most about it, is that it make me feel like I'm 12 again. And I can spend hours, exploring my imagination, dredging it for shapes, faces and patterns. All this with a crazed looking in my eyes, giving my co-workers and people around the impression that I've finally lost the plot :)
